*Purple - Grand Duchy of Lithuania when in Union with Poland(Until 1569 when the *Commonwealth was formed)
*Yellow - Under Polish/Lithuanian hegemony but not part of either (vassals, fiefs and protectorates)
*Lime - Polish/Lithuanian lands that are occupied by a foreign power (Note: Most occupations
won't be shown due to the lack of detailed sources. Neither will rebels or uprisings.)
*Blue: Sweden when in Union with the Commonwealth
*Brown: Hungary when in Union with the Commonwealth
Other colours such as in 1086 or 1138 occur when Poland is feudally divided. The Monarch listed is the 'Senior'. In 1138, Władysław II became senior as he was the eldest son of Bolesław III. The senior was supposed to overrule the other territories from his own in Krakow (grey)
